Stock XVS 650 Classic

As stock, this makes a very close nod to the Harley Softail, and is a very Fifties inspired bike, but with the later soft pillow of a seat that became popular a couple of decades later. The 650 is a capable bike, very much the laid back cruiser, but the relatively small engine means that it struggles to keep up with traffic on the motorway. This is OK if you are cruising and don’t mind sitting in the slow lane.

It is however an excellent base for a bobber or especially a bar hopper. There is a wide array of kits you can buy for this purpose or you can make your own. The entire back mudguard assembly including lights is held on by one electrical plug and four screws.
